In my city there were very few people with my type of hair, unfortunately, our community made us feel that, by having curly hair, we had been born with a physical defect, within the code of elegance & good appearance curly or braided hair was not included, being normal was to have straight hair, the abnormal was curly and called bad hair. In order to meet the demands of society, we were psychologically forced to allow ourselves to be treated with harsh chemicals in order to return to normalcy. Back then, our stylists were only prepared for that modality. From a very young age I had to go through many scalp aggressions, burns, many trials and errors, in the same way, I always left with my scalp injured and it became a suffering for me just the fact of going to the beauty salon. I am an Afro-descendant daughter of a mixed couple, my mother, despite her efforts, never knew how to attend to my hair needs, so my gift when I was 9 years old was my 1st straightening wrapped in the imperceptible slavery that all that process brought for my next 30+ years. As the years passed, I decided to start studying why those chemicals hurt me so much, I wanted to know where was the error and what i could do to keep up with the standards without hurting so bad. That took me many years of research, studies and tests to find the right formula and ingredients to get the best results. These investigations made me travel to the sweet memories of my great-grandmother who, although i was still small when she died, I can remember that her hands on my hair far from being a punishment was a caress, the last time I recorded that my scalp felt safe she had achieved it with organically planted herbs on her land that she sent me to look for, and despite her arthritis, the time she combed my hair with that infusion, I did not cry from the pain.
In 2002, I started my investigation, by then, I had bought a lot of the hair care products on the market and I did not get good results with their ingredients and only managed to occasionally clog my pores, further damage my Hair Follicles, they caused me a severe case of scalp inflammation and alopecia.
I decided to have faith in myself, I felt that I had no choice but to create my own products, for my personal use and change my formulas according to needs, I started trying new organic formulas and makes with me as my model. For my blessing, I started to accept my hair such as. My products reversed my alopecia 100%, reactivated my growth, reduced porosity, … they has fulfilled all my expectations.
After that, I have created a passion to help people rebuild confidence in themselves by inviting everyone to this experience, reconstruction such of important part of our body with ingredients that mother nature gifted us. Our hair forms a very important part of our psychological and emotional health, for some, it’s a very important figure in they self -esteem, as a beauty stylist, specializes in hair reconstruction, I’ve been honor, with the history of my clients personal problems. It has called my attention that when they arrive to my saloon, with their hair destroyed, most of the time they are only somatizing the decomposition process that they carry inside and their main comment, when they tell their stories always end in “and in addition to everything my hair is destroyed. ”
